A beautiful well equipped cottage that encourages relaxation. The antique furniture enhances the beautiful woodwork and crown moldings. The gazebo adds an extra touch to be able to enjoy the outdoors without the bugs. Now if only the weather had co-operated it would have been a perfect vacation.

If you want to bask in the beauty of a mid 1800's home, Barefoot is the place for you. Early May is the perfect time to visit, a little cool, but that's what I like and entirely mosquito free on the island. I highly recommend this home as the base for your visit to Canada’s rustic and hospitable island. Much love to all the residents and shops that keep the Pelee spirit alive.

We had a lovely weekend on Pelee Island last weekend. We stayed at the StoneHouse. It is a charming, old stone house right by the water. There is a little deck over looking the water which was nice to sit on for morning coffee. Very peaceful. Beds were comfy.

Our third time renting this cottage; this time we had another couple join us for part of the trip. The cottage is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-supplied. The location on the north side of the island is perfect - walkable to a restaurant to the west and, to the east, the co-op store and a few other shops. A waterside deck is perfect for relaxing.

This was my first time on the island, and it was a treat. My gal pal and I enjoyed our stay at this historic cottage. Clean and easy check-in process. Loved the wine and snacks. We brought our bikes and loved cycling around.

This was our first visit to Pelle Island, so we were unsure what to expect. As we had our vehicle, the location of the cottage was good, although it was a few kilometres from the ferry site. The cottage itself was wonderful. It was an immaculately maintained historical property located near the water. We enjoyed our two-night stay and would highly recommend the site and owners. We did note that on our last day, a for-sale sign was posted, so if anyone is looking for a great investment property, here is your opportunity.

We (2 older couples) stayed in the bungalow for 3 nights during the first week of June. Relaxing and peaceful. We made full use of the screened in front porch and the dock across the street. The cottage was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. We were very impressed. We really enjoyed the "island atmosphere" and would highly recommend this cottage.

A lovely, very clean and well-stocked cottage with many choices of places to enjoy the days. Back deck was sunny and bbq for dinners, screened in front porch for morning coffee and reading and Adirondack chairs on the lake deck for evening wine and cheese. Mattresses so comfortable we ordered one for our guest room at home. Dog and goat restaurant an easy walk and longer walks every day down to vin villa in one direction and Coop and North dock in the other. A relaxing, peaceful visit on our favourite island.
